Some movies are not seen but experienced. Gravity is one of those movies.
The story of this film can be summarized as two sentences. Actors come out only two. But this simple and majestic movie has drawn one human’s struggle to survive without any superfluous depiction within the framework of a space disaster movie.
The simple yet majestic movie is incredible for density and suspense.
This movie depicts the human struggle despite only point in the vast space stage within the framework of disaster movie of the universe and this film shows both extreme feeling of romantic and horror with reality and irony.
Impressive is taking a spacewalk in state of zero gravity, it is such a scene to feel claustrophobic paradoxically, in the vast space of the universe.
Alfonso Cuarón very elegantly makes use of long takes as his strong points. Long take is uses as long as 20 minutes from the first shot, it deserves praise as one of the best ever long take.
But Gravity is not just great technical achievement work. Of course, the story of this film can be summarized as two lines. In fact, actors do not come out only two people. This movie is a serious inner side drama as well as a comic epic drama.
Significantly, 'Gravity' is the title that does not exist and made into movies.
All human beings live in the gravity of the earth whether feel it or not. Gravity is a force to drag us into the ground. The power to make us fall to our knees and fall down is gravity.
Our human beings experience a variety of frustrations from birth such like that life is suffering. We should live with the continuous suffering just like we have to live in the power of gravity as long as we live on the earth. This movie implies how to respond this kind of distress.
The scene Sandra Bullock looks like rounding her body and closing her eyes like a fetus in amniotic fluid in the beginning of the movie and the scene standing up on two legs and coming up to the land in the ending symbolize human birth.
